Lost

Well the Timberwolves lost. It was a great season.

Kareem Rush is what won the game for the Lakers. A bench player that had a 35% 3-point percentage during the regular season shot 6/7 for 18 points.

Halftime

As I write this, it’s halftime in the Lakers-Timberwolves game. The Lakers lead the series 3 -2, meaning that the Timbewolves are out if they lose.

The score is 48-46 Lakers. Sprewell missed a 3-point shot at the buzzer that would have given us our first lead of the game.

Shaq has 4 fouls, Bryant has 3. A few other Lakers are in foul trouble.

The second half is going to be excruciating. Excuse me while I go watch the halftime analysis.

Timberwolves

As Game 2 of the Timberwolves/Lakers series quickly approaches, I can only hope that Garnett/Sprewell/Cassell have a record evening.

Latrell Sprewell

A win in tonight’s game would be key, as being down 0-2 in the series would be devastatingly tough to come back from.

Timberwolves Game

Joe and I are going to the Timberwolves/Kings game on Saturday. It’ll be fun times. Section 222, Row P, Seats 4 and 5.

Nosebleed area. But they were only $32 or something.

Update: Sold the ticket to spend the evening with the girlfriend.

Congratulations Women’s Hoops

What a season it has been. UConn played an excellent game and definitely deserved to win. It’s sad for me to see the season come to an end. Sorry to the band members stuck in New Orleans… Gary, I guess you have something to be happy about.

I liked the photo that Gophersports.com put up:

In case you were wondering, the picture that would have been on the website if they won was

Bye Lindsay Whalen. You’ll certainly be missed. Hopefully the team can pickup where they left off this year with another fantastic season next year.

Final Four

As I’m sure you’ve heard a million times already, the Lady Gopher’s Basketball Team is headed to the Final Four. I won’t be going in the band (since I’m not in WAB). The game is in New Orleans, and they are staying at a $200/night hotel, so it should be a pretty sweet time.

The big game is Sunday, I hope y’all watch. They are showing the game at William’s Arena (for free) if you are interested. It sounds like they might get a band together and play during the commercials and such.

Sweet Sixteen

I’m headed to Norfolk, VA this weekend to see the Gopher Girls Basketball win the next two games.

Ooh, it’ll be fun!

Although at the moment it looks like I might have to take one of my midterms at 7am on Friday. Here’s to hoping that instead the departure time is later and I can take it at noon like everybody else in my class.

Gopher Women’s Basketball

Well, it has become obvious that I picked the wrong pepband to be in, as the Women’s BBall team just beat the 2 seed Kansas State to advance to the Sweet Sixteen. As I recall, all of the women’s events (that have pepbands—volleyball, hockey, basketball) have now seen post-season play. Contrast this to the men’s basketball team, with our 10th in the Big Ten ranking.

Maybe it’s a good thing I did BB Band because I’d be too busy with trips with all of the WAB events.
