I go in tomorrow to get spacers put in to prepare for getting braces. Can you spell “dread?”
I’d do some before and after shots if I wasn’t so tired right now, but staying up until 1am is killing me.

Did you have the spacers put in? I will have to have spacers put in soon and I was wondering what to expect. I’ve heard they are very uncomfortable. Are they white? Thanks.
Yep, I had spacers put in. I had to have them for a week until they were replaced with the metal bands that go around your teeth. The spacers didn’t hurt at all when they were put on, but it did make eating very uncomfortable for a few days. Get used to eating soups, yogurts, etc. The feeling could best be described as having food caught between all of your molars at once.
The spacers themselves were a bluish-puple color, but that’s not a big deal since you can’t really see them unless you really open your mouth.
