It was cheaper ($9.99, vs the ~$11.99 you would spend at Target) and this way I knew I wouldn't forget to buy it as I have on the last 3 trips to Target.

I am going to the Mall of America tomorrow to go buy a new keyboard... that's another story.

Well, I don't think that they are lying. Think of it in similar terms as a non-profit does. When NPOs send their mail they are granted the chance to mail their stuff for free, but the trade off is that it only gets mailed when they have a light load. I'd imagine that the same is true for Amazon when they are sending via Super Saver Shipping.

But, I still don't get why you are complaining about them shipping something early, it just doesn't make much sense to me. I'd imagine people are usually happy to see their stuff gets shipped faster to them. It is the whole mentality that they got it to you faster. Think about when you go out to eat and you are told that you have to wait 15 minutes for a table when then you are called up to be seated after only 5 minutes. Do you say that you'd like to wait another 10 because that is what they told you? Or do you take the seat? Personally, it's good business to tell people it will take longer then deliver it before you said. It sure beats saying it would be shipped today and then actually shipping it in a week.
