I just came accross the State IQ vs. Bush/Gore voting patterns chart. While it's inflamatory effect seems a natural consequence (NOBODY wants to feel inadaquate) I'd like to point out another event, in your defense.
You probably remember the superbly written/acted TV show called 'Taxi'. Do you know the story behind why it was cancelled?
It recieved high Nielson ratings, yet sponsors pulled their support. Why?
It was discovered that the demographics of their loyal viewers showed a significantly higher IQ than the nations norm. Marketing analysis also demonstrated that these viewers were not swayed into purchasing the products offered by the advertising sponsors via there typically innane commercials.
The parallels are unavoidable.

Yea I've seen this stuff before, and from what I've looked up that's all a hoax just so the Democrats would feel better about themselves.

Here's what I found...it still doesn't make the Republican states look all that great...but hey, at least it's realistic.

The true test of intelligence is whether or not you believe this bit of agitprop.

I have reviewed the above claims regarding the correlation between intelligence quotients and party preference. I can state with 95% confidence that all of the data outlined above is withing the allowable margin error for the data and the correlations to be classified as true. I have run the data through the complex program developped by myself and several of my top graduate students here at the University and it has verified this conclusion time and again.

It is important to make a note of the fact that some of the states voted for Senator Kerry in this most recent electiont hat had voted for then-Governor Bush in the 2000 electionand visa-versa. Of note: #8 New Hampshire went democrat this year and #38 New Mexico went republican.

Nineterrn of the twenty-one most intelligent states were blue on thsi year's election map. However, President Bush overwhelmingly took the top twenty-six dumbest states.

I concur with Dr. Hynes in the belief that the United States of America is grossly undereducated and as a result the dumb majority has elected a man less capable of helping our nation than the "most liberal senator" that would have lead us in the right direction.

This is clearly a very scientific survey. I've done some research and it has a 98% confidence interval, with a standard deviation of +-1%. It is well known that these state IQ's are representative of voter trends and there is a definite correlation between IQ and Democratic values.

The above chart seems to perfectly illustrate the cultural and educational differences that have divided our country; and thus the geopolitical split. Northeast, West Coast, Great lakes to Kerry (centers of higher learning, and thus with a better educated base, vs the interior of the US, with a lesser average intelligence.)

Perhaps a good portion of the 51% of this country needs to go to college, learn where Iraq, Afghanistand, and the Sudan are in the world, and start reading real newspapers and media. An informed democracy is much more effective and productive. Many of my students barely have a grasp of US History, much less international history and international relations. It is a pity, but we must strive to educate our masses.

Oh, apparently the IQ data doesn't exist and is all in humor.

Funny nonetheless.
